Two former Internet Solutions innovation managers have brought the WAN optimisation service Aryaka to South Africa.
Former Internet Solutions Innovation & Technology Manager Brett Steingo and Product Architect Hector Beyers have brought the WAN optimisation service Aryaka to South Africa.
Cloud services are gaining momentum in South Africa, with many companies using providers such as Microsoft (Azure, Office 365), Amazon (AWS), Google, or Salesforce.com.
However, a lack of bandwidth means that WAN optimisation services are often needed to ensure these cloud services function optimally.
Aryaka, one of the biggest WAN optimisation players globally, has now set up a point-of-presence in Johannesburg.
SDN Africa will represent Aryaka in the Sub-Saharan region through an exclusive reseller agreement.
Aryaka’s model involves coupling a global, private network with cloud-based optimisation and enterprise CDN.
By connecting to the Aryaka PoP in Johannesburg, South African business can access Azure with all the advantages of WAN optimisation, caching, enterprise CDN, acceleration, data de-duplication, and a dedicated MS ExpressRoute connection.
“Rather than implementing expensive onsite equipment and international links, with SDN Africa and Aryaka this can be done in 48 hours at a fraction of the cost,” said Steingo.
Details about the Aryaka service are available on the SDN Africa website.
