Founded in 1983, 123Print (Sole Propriertorship) started out as a Gestetner franchise, specialising in litho printing, design, copying as well as the supply of analogue photocopiers. At the time, the bulk of the business was catering to the schools and colleges in Johannesburg and in particular, the South East areas of the city. Within a couple of years, 123Print expanded its offering into the corporate sector, providing copiers and printers to the likes of Wits University, JD Group and SAPPI.
In 1992, 123Print was approached by Toshiba SA to market the Toshiba brand and the RISO Digital Duplicator. In the years that followed, the demand for copiers increased dramatically and the company’s focus expanded to include a far larger portion of the commercial sector. In 1996, RISO Kagaku Corporation, out of Japan, opened a direct sales office in South Africa and 123 Print became an official distributor of these exciting new products. The partnership brought with it a unique skill set and a wealth of product knowledge and expertise. Business flourished and the company continued to grow at an outstanding pace.
In order to facilitate best practice in corporate governance with an improved company structure, 123Print (Pty) Ltd was founded in February 2005. 123 Print (Pty) Ltd had two Directors and a staff compliment of 23, specialising in sales, service and support of digital document solutions. The company continued to grow at a phenomenal rate.
2010 saw the appointment of 123Print (Pty) Ltd as an Authorised Dealer of Kyocera Document Solutions, a leading Japanese manufacturer of document devices with an award winning product range.
